What makes our renovation method unique?
Old, worn, or dirty floors don’t have to be replaced to be brought back to life. Our renovation method offers the possibility of completely revitalizing existing floors: from repairing damage and removing dirt to giving them a fresh look and applying a protective coating. The result is a durable, safe, hygienic floor that will last for years to come, without the costs, disruption, and emissions associated with replacement.
Diagnosis before treatment
We measure coating thicknesses, damage, and sources of contamination. Only then do we determine the best repair plan.

Short drying time, minimal disruption
Renovations are often completed within a few days, allowing spaces to be put back into use quickly.
Sustainable but not more expensive
Why replace when renovating is better?
At E=MC² Facilitair, we don’t start by tearing things down; we start by seeing what can be salvaged. With our unique renovation approach, we give existing floors a new lease on life. This saves on raw materials, reduces CO₂ emissions, and cuts costs.
Up to 95% less energy consumption compared to a new floor
Up to 90% fewer CO₂ emissions
Up to 40% lower costs than a complete replacement
Up to 60% less downtime in your building
An existing design can be completely redesigned
Significantly less waste and raw materials
These benefits have been confirmed by independent research conducted by the Swedish IVL Institute.

Calculate how much floor renovation will can save you
With our calculation tools, you can see at a glance how renovation compares to installing a new floor—from CO₂ savings to cost comparisons and water usage. This way, you can always make the most sustainable and cost-effective choice for your floor.
The options for your floor
In addition to the functional requirements of a floor—such as load-bearing capacity, durability, and safety—design plays a major role. The floor is the first physical point of contact in a space and forms the foundation of the interior experience. By choosing the right color, finish, and anti-slip option, you can enhance both the aesthetic appeal and the safety of your building.
Suitable for various types of flooring
It adheres to virtually all hard floors, such as PVC, linoleum, poured floors, and concrete. During a floor scan, we determine what preparation is needed to ensure optimal adhesion.
Color Selection & Aesthetic
Together with our interior designer, we’ll choose the perfect color to create a complete interior experience. Any color is possible, and you can choose from 11 types of flakes.
Anti-slip in 3 versions
Our flooring is available in three slip-resistant options: light, medium, and coarse. This allows us to tailor the traction to the specific use of your space, from subtle safety in offices to maximum traction in wet or high-traffic areas.
How we work
This is how we ensure long-lasting protection for your floors
Every floor has a story: wear and tear, dirt, improper maintenance, or simply age. That’s why we never renovate based on a hunch, but rather on thorough measurements. With our floor quick scan, we determine exactly what your floor needs and how we can restore it. Only then do we begin the restoration and renovation process.
Floor Scan & Diagnosis
We always start with a technical floor analysis:
- measuring layer thicknesses
- Check for wear and damage
- testing for sources of contamination (acids, fats, plasticizers)
Restoration & Pre-processing
- repairing damage
- sand where necessary
- remove or neutralize contamination
New color coat + protective coat
- new color layer
- durable protective coating (5-year warranty)
- fine, medium, or coarse anti-slip
- fast curing, minimal disruption
A protected floor
Your floor now has a fresh look and an extremely durable protective coating. This keeps the floor looking great for longer, requires minimal maintenance, and withstands heavy use—and comes with a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions About Floor Renovation
Is floor renovation always possible?
Yes, in most buildings, the existing project floor can be renovated. Our specialists will assess the condition of the floor on-site and advise you on whether renovation is the best choice, both technically and financially.
How long does a sustainable renovation last?
The duration depends on the scope and complexity of the move. Thanks to our meticulous planning, we ensure that your team is up and running again quickly—often within a single business day.
How much does floor renovation cost per square meter?
The costs depend on the scope of the move, the number of workstations, and the technical infrastructure. We always provide a customized quote so you know exactly what to expect.
Are you available to work in the evenings or on weekends?
Absolutely. We’ll make sure all the furniture and equipment is installed and connected. Looking for more than just a move? We can also assist with additional services such as interior design, acoustics, signage, or lighting. This way, you can combine your move with a fresh start for your workspace, if you’d like.
What is the difference between renovating and replacing?
During a renovation, the existing floor (the subfloor) remains in place, and we improve the top layer: we clean it, repair any damage, and apply a new protective layer or finish where necessary. When replacing a floor, we remove the old floor and install a completely new one. Renovation is often faster, more sustainable, and causes less disruption.
How much faster is renovation than complete replacement?
In many cases, renovation can be completed in a single weekend or within a few days, whereas completely replacing the old floor usually takes longer due to demolition work, subfloor preparation, and installation. Renovation minimizes downtime and keeps your building operational.
